Help

For those of you that still stop by occasionally, I bet you're wondering where I went to.

Well, the truth is, I'm discouraged and haven't had the heart to keep writing new articles.

See, when I originally started this blog, I harbored the hope that I could potentially connect with a group of people who ask the same questions I do, and through that connection I might be able to find the answers that I so desperately seek.

But, as time wore on, and this blog languished in obscurity, it has started to seem more and more like people are just too busy or comfortable in their own lives to worry about pondering questions that make your brain hurt.

For a while, I discovered that, for some questions, just simply making the attempt to try and explain them was enough to help solidify the answers in my own mind. You might have heard it said that, if you really want to learn something, try to teach others.

But I've run into questions that I just can't answer by myself. I need help.

So, here's the deal. If there's anyone out there that liked this blog and still want to see it continue, I'm going to leave a topic here for you. If I see at least two attempts to give an answer in the comments, I'll keep going. Otherwise, I'll just consider this a failed attempt.

Here's the topic:

If God is Love, why then is the Old Testament filled with things like genocide? Or in other words, what if the nation of Israel were to declare, right now in this day and age, that they have received orders from God that they are to completely eradicate the Palestinian people. What would we say? Would we try to stop them? Why? Because it's wrong? Who determines whether it is wrong? If it is wrong now, wouldn't it be wrong then? Why does a span of a few thousand years change anything?
